Job Spec: Accounting and Tax Consultant

We are a group of bright people that does not like the status quo and we believe in attempting to find better ways in everything that we do. We perform all the support services regarding accounting and tax, however we also develop business systems and engage in consulting.

We are looking for a person to join our team, that is bright, energetic, likes technology and are willing to also grind boring work when needed. The person will be managing junior staff and engage with clients on a daily basis.

Qualification, experience and other requirements:

  • BComm or BAcc degree
  • SAIPA / SAICA articles
  • Minimum 1 years post article experience
  • Preferably residing in Stellenbosch or within 20kms from Stellenbosch

The duties of the position include:

  • Business, tax and accounting consulting
  • Client interaction and relations
  • Preparation and Review of financial statements
  • Performing independent reviews
  • Preparation and Review of tax returns
  • Preparation and Review of payroll
  • Preparation and Review of management accounts
  • Implementation / evaluation of internal controls
  • Business development
  • Provide input to engineers developing business systems
  • Company Registrations
  • VAT Registrations

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team at CH Consulting. We are a fast moving and well-established professional Consulting organisation based in Stellenbosch that specialises in Accounting, Taxation, Business Systems Development, Software Development and Data Analytics.

At CH Consulting we pride ourselves in providing an excellent and professional service to all our clients. If you are a processing, specialist and enjoy bookkeeping and processing, this is the job for you.

The basic requirements of the position include:

  • Fluent in both English and Afrikaans
  • Good communication skills
  • Valid drivers licence
  • A Diploma or Courses in the Finance field will be advantages
  • Minimum of 3 years bookkeeping experience

The duties of the position include:

  • Completing Tax returns
  • Completing company registrations
  • Payroll processing
  • VAT returns
  • Employee tax returns
  • Monthly management accounts processing
  • Some interaction with clients
